Magnesium Revolution: Novel Technologies for Bone and Soft Tissue Regeneration.
Program Highlights
This lecture will explore contemporary approaches to grafting and membrane-supported regeneration, with particular emphasis on the clinical potential of magnesium-based technologies. The role of particulate grafting and “sticky bone” concepts will be discussed, including their handling characteristics and potential advantages in achieving predictable regenerative outcomes.
Particular attention will be given to an innovative magnesium membrane and its clinical application in challenging regenerative situations. The XS version of the Magnesium Shield may provide a minimally invasive approach to socket management and immediate buccal bone reconstruction, particularly in cases involving loss of the buccal bone wall. Its handling characteristics, adaptation, stabilization, and interaction with the surrounding tissues will be illustrated through clinical cases.
The course will combine current concepts with clinical experience, presenting practical tips and techniques for the predictable use of magnesium membranes. The objective is to demonstrate how these emerging biomaterials may expand the clinician’s regenerative toolkit while simplifying treatment protocols and improving patient comfort.
